Skies
As I was walking to work today, I noticed that the sky was the most brilliant shade of sky, without a cloud to be seen. The same as my wedding day. I think that whenever I see that cloudless, crisp blue I will always think of that day and smile.Labels: i like stories, random

I am so glad to hear that.
Sadly, from time to time I will see a beautiful clear blue sky on a lovely morning like this and think of 9/11.
You know, I used to think the same thing. I think my wedding day replaced that thought. Although, I still think of September 11th at other random moments. Like on the rare occasions I hear or read "Wear Sunscreen", specifically:
"Don't worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday."
The 4pm part doesn't mesh, but the some idle Tuesday part does, and certainly that it had never crossed my worried little mind.
Which begs the question: remember when a terrorist attack wasn't something you ever thought about?
