First Debate
The first debate in the wedding planning process--oh, other than the one about how we're going to pay for a $30,000 wedding--is whether his sisters should be bridesmaids. I know it's in the spirit of family and all, and I really like both his sisters, but it just seems kind of corny to me. Etiquette books, of which I have received many over the last week, go both ways on this issue. I really wanted a small wedding party and his sisters would definitely do something, like the readings at mass, if they're not bridesmaids. Oh, by the way, I have a brother, so if his sisters are on my side, he has to ask my brother, who he's never met, to be on his side. Which seems ridiculous. The voting begins: what do you think?

I think if his sisters are on your side than David does have to be on yours.
In the spirit of simplicity, I say, keep the party very small (less than 3 attendants on each side) and have the siblings do readings, offertory, etc.
Duh, I meant David has to be on Ronnie's.
$30,000? Yikes. Good luck with that! =)
Have them do readings or whatever. If you want it small, keep it small. This is about you and Ron and what you want for the day. Get off to the right start by deciding to do it your way all the way through.
